Beach innie vs outie

It rained last night. The sand along the shoreline formed hundreds of tiny craters from the impact of rain drops. Each of those craters is in essence an innie.

The dirt path to and from the beach is made up of thousands of pebbles, each one of which can be thought of as an outie.

It’s fascinating how similar these two phenomena appear…. Could it be that this is all some form of omphaloskepsis?
